Windybush 2025 Spring Update

Hello Windybush,

The WBCA had a busy winter and has been meeting monthly to manage everything happening in our community. Below are a few key updates we’d like to share:

Easter Egg Hunt

This year, the WBCA and Windybush Swim Club are co-hosting a community Easter Egg Hunt at the swim club on Saturday, April 19th. In addition to the egg hunt for children, the event will include an Easter Bunny, music, face painting, balloon animals, and food trucks.

Please RSVP and let us know if you’re willing to help us prepare so families and kids can have a great time:https://www.windybushca.org/event-details/windybush-easter-egg-hunt

Bridge Completion

The bridge connecting Windybush and Old Windybush was completed this winter, which is a great achievement for our neighborhood. Working with local government to complete the project took time and persistence. The WBCA plans to stain the bridge this spring or summer to help preserve it.

Community Directory

We are organizing a neighborhood directory, which is something many of you have asked for. If you haven’t already, please let us know if you'd like to be included (or not). The directory will be available only to signed-in members on our website and will not be public: www.WindybushCA.org

Windybush Land & Stewardship

Our neighborhood owns several unique parcels of land, including:

  • Over 6 acres of woodland we refer to as the Windybush Woods

  • The circle on Chatham Place

  • The empty lot between 117 and 122 Chatham

This year the WBCA will begin maintaining these areas. Baez Landscaping will complete landscaping for Chatham circle and the open lot biweekly.

Over the winter, we sought legal guidance to better understand our responsibilities for managing the Windybush Woods. This land belongs to the community and must not be used for personal purposes. The WBCA will use discretion to manage it with care and in the neighborhood’s best interest.

We are planning a special meeting with residents whose properties border the Windybush Woods to address questions and concerns. Expect more details shortly.

Community Meeting – Save the Date

Our next community meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 19th at 6:30 PM at the Windybush Swim Club. We’ll provide a financial update, cover additional topics not listed here, and set aside time for questions and discussion with the board. We look forward to seeing everyone there.
