Good Evening Windybush,
Tomorrow, July 17th, Windybush Swim Club will be closed to host a swim championship meet for all kids 6 years old and younger for NBSL. The civic association was originally told that all attendees would be parking at Saint Edmond’s Academy on Veale Road for the event. Yesterday, the civic association was advised that Windybush Swim Club is directing cars to park in the neighborhood now for this event.
This will directly affect the streets closest to the pool Monday afternoon and evening. We want residents in the neighborhood to be ready for increased volume and parking in the neighborhood. This event is beneficial to the swim club, but we want it to go smoothly for our residents as well. We apologize for the late notification as we want to be able to provide timely information to our community.
The pool has hosted large swim meets before, but we anticipate this being a little bit bigger. It will start around 4pm, which is also earlier than the typical start time. In addition, the meet is on a Monday, which is not a usual swim meet day. To note, this is the last swim competition for this season that the pool is hosting.
