Neighborhood Newsletter | May 2023
Introduction and Welcome Back!
"We have been absent for quite some time, but now is the moment to reignite the
flame of companionship among our community. Our new board hopes that you will
return as well. We truly missed you during this absence, and we are delighted that
you can rejoin the Windybush Civic Association. Please keep an eye out for
information in emails, notifications, handouts, and other means of communication to our families. Thank you for being a part of this excellent community once again.”
- Ron Schultz, VP Windybush Civic Association
Civic Association Meeting
All are invited to attend our upcoming Civic Association Meeting on Monday May
15th, 2023, at 6:30pm at the Windybush Swim Club (Rain Date Tuesday, May
16).. Please bring a chair if you would like. Come meet the new board, hear what we
have been working on, and bring your questions, comments, and concerns. Come
meet your neighbors, and relax in our community as we discuss our vision and
answer your questions. We will cover the updated bylaws for the civic association. As we reestablish our association, we’ve made a great effort to ensure we are doing it properly and with the community's best interests in mind. We’ll be handing out copies, and making them available via our email list. We would like to distribute them, with the plan of having a proper official vote at our association meeting this coming September. If you are not part of our email list please join! Please contact us at WindybushCivicAssoc@gmail.com to be added. Also in attendance will be our NCCPD representative Master Corporal Kristen Hester. She will be here to issue the county police report for our community, and to take your questions.
Civic Association Board
President - Kevin Leamy
Vice President - Ron Schultz
Secretary - Karl Zipf
Treasurer - Brian Cuddy
We are looking for an Old Windybush and/or Silverside Road resident to join our Board! We recognize the importance of our community as a whole having representation in decisions, and a voice when we discuss what is best for Windybush. We plan to meet 6 times annually to talk about the neighborhood, so please advocate for your neighbors. Please email the board at WindybushCivicAssoc@gmail.com if you are interested.
Windybush Website
We have been working on a neighborhood website that will be available shortly. Thank you to the Vigliotta family who lives on Chatham Place for helping us design it. The website will be all-encompassing for all things Windybush. We are planning to make dues payments available online, keep contact lists, have a blog updating everyone on our community, and more. Please save the website: WindybushCA.org
